Heropanti movie review

Hi friends,

How did your weekend go? Mine was pretty relaxed and all I did was read books and detoxify myself. After spending two super lazy days, I thought of doing something productive and hence went to watch Heropanti.. :D, the latest bollywood flick featuring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. Did I like it? Probably yes...and though there were lots of good and not-so-great and some pretty lame parts about the movie, it surprisingly manages to pull off well.

I am no movie critic and I don't care about their opinion either. I am just telling you my honest opinion as one of the public who happened to watch this movie.

Heropanti movie review

What's the movie about?

'Heropanti' is the story of two young conflicting protagonists, and their battles with society.

My opinion about the movie

Heropanti truly stands true to its typical Bollywood-ish name.It is a full masala entertainer. You can simply sit in the hall munching on popcorns and enjoy a bit of everything right from drama, light humour, serious action, awesome music, superb dance, a bit of romance and emotional dialoguebaazi in the movie. The story is quite predictable and almost repetitive but the new faces - Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, make it all look fresh and more enjoyable than it could be otherwise.

Tiger Shroff steals the show as he shows off his Heropanti with his charming chocolate boy looks, a laid back attitude, light humour, pleasant smile, flexing of muscles, a perfect body, incredible dance moves and some real bone breaking stunts. Kriti looks gorgeous in almost all the scenes and is a pleasure to watch on screen. As debutant actors, they both have worked sincerely and look promising for sure.

Other actors have also given decent performances and I particularly liked the performance of Prakash Raj as Choudhary - the girl's father. The way he showcased anger, vulnerability, concern, helplessness, violence and warning just through his eyes and expressions was simply astounding. Definitely a fine actor I must say.

All in all, Heropanti is just like an old wine in a new bottle. And you even get to raise the toast in two brand new and fresh glasses in terms of both lead actors that are going to stay here for a long time. Good for one time watch, and if you get charmed by Tiger Shroff (which is most likely to happen!), you can give it multiple go's as well. It definitely is a paisa vasool!

How to Find Your Personal Strength when the going gets Tough

Experiencing challenging phases in life can really test your mettle. When you encounter those bumps in the road, how do you react?
Are you able to deal effectively with these challenges without going to pieces? Could you use some help in finding your inner strength?

Try these ideas to tap in to your personal reserves whenever the going gets tough:

1. Take some time to ponder the present dilemma.

What do you see as the real issue? Are you making a mountain out of a mole-hill? How can you focus your efforts on the current event that's troubling you?

2. Acknowledge your fears about the vexing situation.

Before you can show resilience to move forward, it's important to recognize any fears that have a bearing on your current circumstances.Ignoring them will only stop you from confronting the issue.

3. Consider every option.

Writing down your options for overcoming your challenge will help you see the situation from all angles.- Brainstorming as many solutions as you can is a great start to finding a workable option.
- Be open-minded. Sometimes you have to remind yourself to not automatically screen out possible solutions to a sticky wicket.Every viable possibility should be considered.
- Considering every possible solution indicates you have the resilience to succeed.

4. Approach the challenge with positivity.

It may sound over-simplified, but you can either approach a stumbling block thinking, "I don't think I'm going to survive it" or "I'm going to do my best and make my way through this situation."
Taking a positive outlook will compel you to move forward through the crisis. Be optimistic!

5. Avoid looking too far ahead.

Focus on what's going on in this moment.Sometimes, it helps to make it through 1 hour at a time.
Concentrate your energy on what you can do in the here and now.

6. Pray.

Draw from your religious faith to help you through. Spirituality regularly assists millions of people to live consistently healthy, happy lives. Perhaps finding faith would bring you the inner strength you desire.

7. Seek emotional support from those you love.

Any troubling event is easier to navigate through when you feel the love and support from someone close to you. Bolster your "resilience reservoir" by getting a little help from your friends and family members.
- Although it might be difficult for you to reach out and say, "I'm struggling," look at it this way: your loved ones will feel better if you give them opportunities to be there for you. Accept the loving and supportive care that your loved ones are so willing to provide. You'll likely have a chance in the future to reciprocate.

8. Soothe your spirit.

What calms you down, makes you feel at peace and brings you simple joy? Take time to participate in your favorite activities to soothe your frayed emotions.
Taking a walk in the woods, swimming a few laps at the pool, or doing a hand craft or hobby at home can be one of the most self-soothing things you can do when you're experiencing a tricky life phase.

9. Embrace your strength.

Remember that your strength has pulled you through many crises in the past. Have confidence that it can continue to bolster you through many more.Life can be exhilarating, interesting, and challenging. When you encounter a block in your path, allow your resilience to shine through.

These strategies can help you draw on your inner strength to live a meaningful, enriched existence, no matter what type of challenge you encounter.Hope you find these useful!

Tips to rectify a few things you might be unhappy about

In your day to day life, as you go along, how many times do you notice the way you deal with people and situations? Do you see yourself as a calm, kind and patient being while you communicate with your family, friends and colleagues? Or do you feel tense, stressful and somewhat negative about your approach towards them? If you belong to the latter category of people then following points may help you in knowing the root cause of your tensions, anger or frustration.

Once you have identified what has been troubling you, you can work more clearly on solving the issue. Have a look at some possible reasons below:

1. You wish you could have lead a different life:
Do you feel content with your life at present? Or is it

The Simplest way to relax in Adversities

Many times we are faced with certain adversities in life, that it becomes difficult to feel hopeful and positive about any aspect at all. You might feel stuck, irritated and impatient about things not working out in your favour. Most of the times when I am faced with such critical situations, I tend to panic and even face difficulties in breathing normally. Can you see the adverse impact of stress here, as what it can do? It can screw up even a normal and natural process like breathing!
When we are in stress, our breaths become shallow and that impacts our blood pressure and other body parts too, as they get less than normal oxygen supply.

It is really important to focus on your breathing, because from my experience, I have seen that my breathing pattern actually is an indicator of my state of mind. When I am happy and relaxed, I take normal paced deep breaths, when I am tense, my breathing becomes shallow and fast, when I feel exhilarated about the speed in activities like running, dancing etc., my breathing become short, fast and deep.

It actually took me a moment to realize that, if outside world can affect my feelings and in turn my breathing pattern, can't it work the other way round? Like if stress can make my breathing shallow, can't I alter my breathing to change the state of my mind to the calm and relaxed one! And once my mind is relaxed and in control, I can always take the most rational and positive action to alter the state of my being.

All in all, breathing is the most natural and impulsive action of our being. It also has very deep and emphatic role in creating our lives. So, it doesn't matter what situation you are faced with, you can always control your breaths, focus on them, make them deep, relax your mind and follow the course of actio your relax mind tells you.

Life has always been quite simple; it is us who complicate it often.

7 Lies You should Stop Telling Yourself!

When you aspire to alter the course of your life, be successful in your business, start a new venture, you may find the task quite challenging. You naturally start developing a sense of self-pity and automatically start neglecting the reasons that might be inhibiting you from enjoying a successful life.

According to Maria Robinson:

“You cannot go back and start a new beginning, but you can always start today and create a new ending.”

Sometimes it is good to take some time off your regular routine and observe your life to know what exactly has been holding you back, and then rectify things accordingly.
Many times knowledge of the things you may not want to know, but need to, can give you that necessary kick start and get the stuffs moving in your life. There are many lies that we keep speaking to ourselves, and no matter how well we can justify them, deep down in our hearts we know well that we aren't being truly honest to ourselves. Here listing below are few of those common lies:

1. I couldn't succeed because of that person : If someone has done wrong to you, its your responsibility to take charge of your life and make things work in your favour. Blame game can lead you nowhere except for getting more frustration from already screwed up things.

2. I don't have enough time for all this: From my experience, I have known that if you really want to do something, you will always find time for that. The trick is to know whether you really want to do it or not. Once you decide it, your day of 24 hours can easily be adjusted for you to spare enough time for your tasks.

3. I can't do it:
There is a huge difference between 'I can't do it' and 'I don't want to do it' . If you truly want to do something, believe that you can do it no matter what.

4. I am not that lucky:
Whining and moaning about your past failures can only make your already few friends run away from you. Even speaking such things to yourself can't change anything, except for ruining your mood and spoiling your day. What has gone can't be brought back, so it is better to let go of past failures, focus on your present and plan for your future accordingly.

5. I will try but I am not sure:
You may say that to appease someone else, but saying that to yourself is downright lie. You either do something or not do it. You can even 'want' to do it and 'not want'. Decide and take action. Staying midway does no good to anyone.

6. Life isn't fair:
If you are amongst those who think this often, then let me ask you something. Is someone else directing your life's course? Now don't start the blame game again. What I want to know is that you breath yourself.. right? No one else does that for you. Your hands and legs aren't tied; the shackles are just in your mind and once you break them and set yourself free, you will be able to take the charge of your life. And then life will always be fair for you, because you would know what to do and get the best out of it.

7. I don't have any thing to feel good about:
Are you sure you really don't have anything to be grateful for? You have the eyes to read this article, and if you can't be grateful of this simple gratification from the universe, ask someone who doesn't have this basic privilege.
Life itself is the best blessing for you, it is just your job to seek the path that is right for you. Be thankful for everthing that has made your life so beautiful.

List of few things they don't teach in Schools

I've been making a list of the things
they don't teach you at school.
They don't teach you
how to love somebody.
They don't teach you
how to be famous.
They don't teach you
how to be rich or
how to be poor.
They don't teach you
how to walk away from someone
you don't love any longer.
They don't teach you
how to know what's going on
in someone else's mind.
They don't teach you what to say
to someone who's dying.
They don't teach you
anything worth knowing.

Sailing the Boat of Life

I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it - but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.~ Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

While going through my daily dose of motivational reminders, I came across this wonderful quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes, and couldn't stop myself from marvelling the simplicity and beauty of these words. There is a difference between mere drifting and sailing the course of your life. While drifting can be easy, it is aimless and certainly wouldn't make you see any difference in your life. You leave your life on chance; if its a gorgeous island that you land on, you call it mere luck, whereas in cases of crisis like thunderstorm you curse your fate.
Sailing purposefully, involves taking control of the path you have chosen and determinedly following it, irrespective of whether the conditions and circumstances are in favor of you or against you. And that my friend is what will take you to the port of your bliss; the heaven that you've been seeking for so long.

Visualize and Affirm Your Desired Outcomes: A Step-by-Step Guide

I have always felt that visualization and imagining something in its full glory can do wonders for you. However, there is a bit difference in day-dreaming and creative visualization. While the former helps you kill your time and get rid of occassional boredom, the latter if done the right way, can possibly and powerfully transform your whole life in the ways that can only leave you spellbound.

I do make it a point to visialize my goals everyday and while browsing to find more effective techniques for the same, I came across the following article by Jack Canfield. I found it quite amazing and can't wait to add his pointers to my visualization practices. Have a look at the article and hia step-by-step guide below:

You have an awesome power that most of us have never been taught to use effectively.Elite athletes use it. The super rich use it. And peak performers in all fields now use it.That power is called visualization. The daily practice of visualizing your dreams as already complete can rapidly accelerate your achievement of those dreams, goals and ambitions.

Visualization of your goals and desires accomplished four very important things.

1.)It activates your creative subconsciouswhich will start generating creative ideas to achieve your goal.

2.)It programs your brainto more readily perceive and recognize the resources you will need to achieve your dreams.

3.)It activates the law of attraction, thereby drawing into your life the people, resources, and circumstances you will need to achieve your goals.

4.)It builds your internal motivationto take the necessary actions to achieve yourdreams.

Visualization is really quite simple. You sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes and imagine — in as vivid detail as you can— what you would be looking at if the dream you have were already realized. Imagine being inside of yourself, looking out through your eyes at the ideal result.

Mental Rehearsal

Athletes call this visualization process “mental rehearsal,” and they have been using it since the 1960s when we learned about it from the Russians. All you have to do is set aside a few minutes a day. The best times are when you first wake up, after meditation or prayer, and right before you go to bed. These are the times you are most relaxed.

Go through the following three steps:

STEP 1. Imagine sitting in a movie theater, the lights dim, and then the movie starts. It is a movie of you doing perfectly whatever it is that you want to do better. See as much detail as you can create, including your clothing, the expression on your face, small body movements, the environment and any other people that might be around. Add in any sounds you would be hearing — traffic, music, other people talking, cheering. And finally, recreate in your body any feelings you think you would be experiencing as you engage in this activity.

STEP 2. Get out of your chair, walk up to the screen, open a door in the screen and enter into the movie. Now experience the whole thing again from inside of yourself, looking out through your eyes. This is called an “embodied image” rather than a “distant image.” It will deepen the impact of the experience. Again, see everything in vivid detail, hear the sounds you would hear, and feel the feelings you would feel.

STEP 3. Finally, walk back out of the screen that is still showing the picture of you performing perfectly, return to your seat in the theater, reach out and grab the screen and shrink it down to the size of a cracker. Then, bring this miniature screen up to your mouth, chew it up and swallow it. Imagine that each tiny piece — just like a hologram — contains the full picture of you performing well. Imagine all these little screens traveling down into your stomach and out through the bloodstreaminto every cell of your body. Then imagine that every cell of your body is lit up with a movie of you performing perfectly. It’s like one of those appliance store windows where 50 televisions are all tuned to the same channel.

When you have finished this process — it should take less than five minutes — you can open your eyes and go about your business. If you make this part of your daily routine, you will be amazed at how much improvement you will see in your life.

Create Goal Pictures

Another powerful technique is to create a photograph or picture of yourself with your goal, as if it were already completed. If one of your goals is to own a new car, take your camera down to your local auto dealer and have a picture taken of yourself sitting behind the wheel of your dream car.If your goal is to visit Paris, find a picture or poster of the Eiffel Tower and cut out a picture of yourself and place it into the picture.

Create a Visual Picture and an Affirmation for Each Goal

We recommend that you find or create a picture of every aspect of your dream life. Create a picture or a visual representation for every goal you have — financial, career, recreation, new skills and abilities, things you want to purchase, and so on.When we were writing the very first Chicken Soup for the Soul® book, we took a copy of the New York Times best seller list, scanned it into our computer, and using the same font as the newspaper, typed Chicken Soup for the Soul into the number one position in the “Paperback Advice, How-To and Miscellaneous” category. We printed several copies and hung them up around the office. Less than two years later, our book was the number one book in that category and stayed there for over a year!

Index Cards

We practice a similar discipline every day. We each have a list of about 30-40 goals we are currently working on. We write eachgoal on a 3x5 index card and keep those cards near our bed and take them with us when we travel. Each morning and each night we go through the stack of cards, one at a time, read the card, close our eyes, see the completion of that goal in itsperfect desired state for about 15 seconds, open our eyes and repeat the process with the next card.Use Affirmations to Support Your VisualizationAn affirmation is a statement that evokes not only a picture, but the experience of already having what you want. Here’s an example of an affirmation:I am happily vacationing 2 months out of the year in a tropical paradise, and workingjust four days a week owning my own business.Repeating an affirmation several times a day keeps you focused on your goal, strengthens your motivation, and programs your subconscious by sending an order to your crew to do whatever it takes to make that goal happen.Expect ResultsThrough writing down your goals, using the power of visualization and repeating your affirmations, you can achieveamazing results.

Visualization and affirmations allow you to change your beliefs, assumptions, and opinions about the most important person in your life — YOU! They allow you to harness the 18 billion brain cells in your brain and get them all working in a singular and purposeful direction.Your subconscious will become engaged in a process that transforms you forever. The process is invisible and doesn’t take along time. It just happens over time, as long as you put in the time to visualize and affirm, surround yourself with positive people, read uplifting books and listen to audio programs that flood your mind with positive, life-affirming messages.

If you would like a step-by-step, comprehensive approach for defining your goals, creating affirmations for them and how to create a powerful visual support system, take a look at the Vision Boards Kits... that contain everything you need--just add your dreams!

Repeat your affirmations every morning and night for a month and they will become an automatic part of your thinking... woven into the very fabric of your being.
